Everyone walks alone; we don’t care, here we are; we proclaim the start of…

It’s taken me 6 months to find any sense of stability here; not just financially, but psychologically.  It’s one thing to be solitary in an area that you’ve always known, surrounded by people you’ve always known.  It’s another thing entirely to be solitary in a world that makes you feel even moreso.

But, this is what I’ve always wanted:  To leave my life behind and find something new.  Even if it exposes the fractured state of my mind, and makes me even more solitary, I can’t really complain about it anymore.  I am sick of capitulating to dumb people and their shallow interests; to a social setting that makes women prey and men predators; to a structure of living that bleeds the soul dry.

I’ll do what I used to do.  I’ll walk through life and push everything that I don’t like far out of my way, and if anything or anyone wants to stand next to me, they will have to earn it.

  1. I have no idea how I came across your blog.. actually I do, but it's so cheesy I can't admit to it hahah. I was googling "give me peace and chemicals" ;) Anyway, I felt like I really connected to this post and seeing how you posted it today, I just wanted to let you know~ xx

    1. That's awesome! I thought I was the only person that cared about M83. :) Kudos to you. Although, I thought he was saying, "Give the boy some chemicals" until about a year ago. :p

That album is the soundtrack to an entire chapter of my life. The Acorn - Tin Fist, Clinic - Internal Wrangler, Plus/Minus - Let's Build a Fire, Explosions in the Sky - How Strange, Innocence..., Front 242 - Up Evil; I could probably go on for an hour.

  2. I think I'm okay with both those lyrics, but if I'm given a choice, I'll take the combo deal. Peace sounds good haha

I saw Explosions in the Sky at FYF fest last year, and that day was hands down the greatest day of my life. I crowdsurfed for the first time ever that day, which was the most exhilarating experience, I don't know if I'm ballsy enough to do it ever again. I haven't heard of any of those other bands, I'll check them out, thank you! ^_^ and if you don't mind going on for an hour, I'm always game for new music, we can do a playlist swap~! ;)
